Friends of OHEKA proudly announces this year’s Otto Kahn Award winners. Seven talented
high school seniors from the Town of Huntington will receive $3,000 each and will perform or
have their work shown at this year’s annual Garden Party on Wednesday June 11th at OHEKA
Castle. The following deserving students are pursuing their love of the arts as they begin their
college education this fall:

Aaron Cimadevilla, Walt Whitman High School
Samantha Greenberg, Half Hollow Hills East High School
Oliver Mauer, Half Hollow Hills West High School
Emma Nadler, Northport High School
Samuel Soric, Huntington High School
Ainsley Waite, Half Hollow Hills West High School
Kerry Yeung, Half Hollow Hills East High School

Additionally, we are proud to announce this year’s posthumous honoree, Ellen Schaffer, who
was our beloved and longtime Friends of OHEKA president. For the first time ever, we have created the Ellen Schaffer Civic Leadership Memorial Scholarship to honor her memory and the outstanding work she did for many years in her community—
The Town of Huntington. This year’s winners, Kate Adams and Julia Dean from Walt Whitman High School exemplify the qualities that Ellen stood for.

Tickets to this year’s Garden Party are available online at: www.FriendsofOheka.org. Ticket
price includes hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner, wine, dessert and entertainment. We’ll have
fabulous raffle baskets and traditional Gatsby-style attire is always welcome. Prizes will be
awarded for best costumes.

To date, Friends of OHEKA has raised over $300,000 for high school seniors in the Town of
